The Disneyland Resort is located in Anaheim, California. When you visit you will discover all the magic “The Happiest Place on Earth” has to offer. The Disneyland park was built under the direct supervision of Walt Disney himself. It opened in 1955. It is home to iconic rides like It’s a Small World, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Haunted Mansion and more. In 2001 Disney’s California Adventure Park opened. California Adventure is home to Pixar Pier and Carsland.
Disneyland is much smaller than Walt Disney World however you there is so much magic packed into the smaller area. Because of it’s size you can spend less time to see it all and it is little leg friendly. This means everything is close together and easily walkable. I recommend at least 3-4 days to experience everything Disneyland has to offer.
The Theme Parks
Disneyland Park

“The Happiest Place on Earth” consists of 9 themed lands. These include Mainstreet USA, Adventureland, Frontierland, New Orleans Square, Critter Country, Fantasyland, Mickey’s Toontown, Tomorrowland and opening May 31, 2019 Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge. Here you will experience classic attractions, amazing entertainment and beloved Disney characters. This is also the most instagrammed location in the World.

Located within a short walk of the Disneyland Park, California Adventure is where the stories of Disney, Pixar and more are brought to life. There are 7 exciting lands and they include Buena Vista Street, Pixar Pier, Paradise Gardens Park, Grizzly Peak, Pacific Wharf, Hollywood Land, and Carsland. Opening in the future will be Marvel-land.

There are 3 Disneyland Resorts. When you choose to stay at a Disneyland Resort you are choosing legendary service and a resort within walking distance of the magic. Besides close proximity to the parks you also get to take advantage of Extra Magic Hour for Disneyland Resort guests. This benefit allows you extra time in the parks. The Disneyland resorts offer character dining, themed pools, world class spas and more.

Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel
This resort is themed after the California beachfront boardwalks. The rooms reflect the style of the 1920’s boardwalk hotels. On select nights you can enjoy the Disneyland park fireworks with synchronized soundtrack from on top of the 3rd floor pool deck. Enjoy everything the roof top pool decks have to offer. Take a dip in the Paradise pool or make a splash on the California Streamin waterslide. Be sure to have breakfast with Donald at Donald Ducks Seaside Breakfast at the PCH grill.
You will be amazed at how much there is to do and see at the Disneyland Resort. Whether you are visiting the parks for your entire vacation or building it into a Southern California escape you will love everything there is to offer.
