Set sail for adventure aboard the Disney Cruise Line. The Disney Cruise Line has so much to offer like exotic destinations, magical port of calls, world-class experiences, and legendary Disney service.

Currently there are 4 ships in the fleet but they are adding 3 more by 2021. The ships pay homage to the golden age of luxury ocean liners. Currently the cruise line offers cruises that include Hawaii, Alaska, the Caribbean, the Bahamas, and 15 European Countries.

The Staterooms

The staterooms aboard the Disney Cruise Line are designed with families in mind. The staterooms are larger than what you would find on other cruise lines which is great when travelling with your whole family. You can choose from and inside stateroom, ocean view stateroom, verandah stateroom, and suites.

Inside Staterooms

These rooms are 184-214 Sq Feet and sleep 3-4. While they do not have a windows they do offer something magical for guests in these rooms. The Magic Port Hole with real time views. You never know what you may see or who may drop by while watching your Magical Port Hole.

Ocean View Staterooms

These rooms are 214-241 Sq Ft and can sleep up 5 in some rooms. They feature 1 or 2 Porthole windows to overlook the ocean or a port of call. These rooms have a queen sized bed, a couch that converts to a bed, a pull down upper berth bed and some feature a murphy pull down bed.

Verandah Stateroom

These rooms are 246-299 Sq Feet and can sleep up to 5 in some rooms. My favorite feature is the private verandah. It allows for lots of natural light and a great place to sit relax, read a book, watch the water, etc. Are you concerned about safety and your children? Don’t worry the doors have a double latch one down low and one out of reach from adventurous little hands. The railings are high so you don’t have to worry about your little ones easily falling over board.

Suites

These luxurious rooms offer lots of space anywhere from 622 Sq Ft to 1781 Sq Ft. These rooms can accommodate anywhere from 4-7 guests. The suites offer queen sized beds, 2+ bathrooms, a full-sized convertible bed, murphy style pull down bed, and more amenities. These room are concierge level rooms. Guests can enjoy priority reservations for onboard ship activities, shore excursions, dining reservations, and the beach cabanas at Castaway Cay. Concierge guests also receive priority boarding and get to be among the first guests onboard the ship. Guests also have access to the Concierge lounge which offers light refreshments and beverages throughout the day. There is also a private Concierge level sundeck and private hot tubs that offer a quiet escape from the rest of the ship.

What is Included?

The Disney Cruise Line has a lot to offer, many of which is included in the price of your cruise. You get to enjoy broadway caliber shows and entertainment including the only cruise line to offer fireworks at sea. Dining includes the buffets, the pool side quick service dining and the sit down nightly dinners at one of the 3 main dining restaurants. You can have all you care to enjoy soft serve ice cream. There is complimentary soda, tea, and coffee on the main deck and dining rooms. As a guest of the Disney Cruise Line you get to enjoy the spacious staterooms big enough to fit most families comfortably and larger than other cruise lines. If you are on one of the cruises that visits the Bahamas or the Caribbean you will get to stop at Disney’s Private island Castaway Cay. Your kids will enjoy the youth clubs. There are so many activities you may find it hard to tear them away. Adults can find entertainment just for them in the various nightclubs and lounges. Everyone can enjoy the pools and recreations that includes waterslides, goofy golf, basketball courts and more. Of course don’t forget to meet some of Disney’s most beloved characters.

Castaway Cay

If you are on one of the cruises that visits the Bahamas or the Caribbean you will also get to stop at Disney’s private island Castaway Cay. There is so much to do onshore. There is a family beach and an adults only beach. Youth Club activities carry over on shore. Enjoy a buffet style barbeque lunch. Soda, Coffee and Tea is available. There are hiking trails. If your real ambitious you can participate in the Castaway Cay 5K and bring home a medal. There is the Pelican Plunge waterslide. Again you can have all the soft serve ice cream you care to eat. There are several excursions available. You can rent one of the private cabanas.

Our Disney Cruise was one the best vacations we have ever experienced. Disney Storytelling and attention to detail combined with exotic locales and amazing destinations. This vacations allowed my kids the freedom to explore and make friends but come together as a family. It was one of the most relaxing vacations I have ever been on. We booked our next cruise before we disembarked from the ship.
